Palm Beach Dramaworks – The Science of Leaving Omaha, West Palm Beach

When: February 3-19. Carter W. Lewis’s The Science of Leaving Omaha, a play about dashed hopes and broken dreams, resilience, and resolve, receives its world premiere at Palm Beach Dramaworks on February 3.

ManateeFest, West Palm Beach

When: February 4, 9 am – 4 pm. Manatee Lagoon – An FPL Eco-Discovery Center® is hosting its seventh annual ManateeFest on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ManateeFest 2023 attendees can enjoy free, family-friendly activities that celebrate Florida’s iconic manatees and local waterways. In addition to in-person activities, this event will feature a ManateeFest mobile event app, which will serve as a unique tool to keep all visitors in the know ahead of and during the festival.

During the event, guests can visit the Conservation Pledge Station and make a pledge to help protect manatees and their habitat. Guests are also welcome to interact with environmental exhibitors, help Mia the Manatee complete her conservation challenge by participating in a game called “Mia’s Conservation Mission,” and listen to educational presentations throughout the day.  ManateeFest 2023 activities at Manatee Lagoon feature something for everyone!

History & Architecture Walking Tours, West Palm Beach

When: February 4 Join architect and local historian Rick Gonzalez on this fun and lively tour of downtown West Palm Beach. The popular 90-minute guided tour begins on the Great Lawn by the WPB Tiki. $10 fee and all proceeds benefit the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. When: February 4-5, 10 am – 9 pm. For lovers of this tasty and strong-scented vegetable, it’s your moment to bask in garlic glory. Take a walk down Gourmet Alley for garlic-laced goodies, from burgers to shrimp scampi to everyone’s true fave, garlic ice cream (give it a try, really). There is more than 100 menu items to get your garlic on – and don’t worry Garlic Fest has full beer, wines, and liquor bars to change up your palate. Besides alcoholic beverages, the Fest offers a variety of soft drinks for all guests. Full Moon Yoga At Hilton WPB, West Palm Beach

Kravis Center’s 17th Annual African-American Film Festival, West Palm Beach

The Kravis Center’s 17th Annual African-American Film Festival presents an award-winning selection of monthly films and featured panelists. “Poetic Justice” (1993), the second film of the three award-winning movies, will be presented on February 9 at the Raymond F. The Savannah Bananas at The Ballpark of The Palm Beaches, West Palm Beach

2nd Annual Black Luxe Picnic and Music Festival, The Palm Beaches

When: February 17-19. Friday, February 17. This amazing festival kicks off on Friday, February 17 with a day of inspiration from one of the top Black executives in television, Yvette Miley, the Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at NBC Universal News Group. Clematis By Night, West Palm Beach

On February 23, The City of West Palm Beach is planning a celebratory Clematis by Night in honor of the 2022 World Series Champion Houston Astros. The Houston-based Major League Baseball team calls The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches home for its annual Spring Training. Clematis by Night will include baseball-themed activities, including a photo opportunity with the World Series Trophy, appearances by team players and representatives, Astros mascot Orbit and the Astros Shooting Stars promotional team and more. The first 100 attendees will receive a free hotdog and an Astros promotional item.
