Top Events, Festivals, Shows, Theater Performances, & Fairs in South Florida

Whether you’re looking for events this weekend or South Florida events happening during your upcoming vacation to The Palm Beaches, there’s an atmosphere of celebration in The Palm Beaches year-round.

Winter is packed with outdoor events, taking advantage of our 70-something-degree temps. One of the local favorite West Palm Beach events kicks off the New Year with 17 days of fun at the South Florida Fair. The South Florida Fair is one of the biggest festivals in Florida and draws crowds with its 108-foot-tall Ferris wheel, freshly fried beignets, daily parades, carnival games, and live music. Each February, the Honda Classic draws tens of thousands to PGA National Resort & Spa as top golfers compete for a more than $1 million purse. February through March, the Houston Astros, Washington Nationals, Miami Marlins, and St. Louis Cardinals swing into The Palm Beaches for spring training at stadiums in Jupiter and West Palm Beach.

Springtime festivals in The Palm Beaches celebrate interesting pairings and flavors. The Wellington Bacon and Bourbon Festival in March bring two great flavors into one delicious festival. After all, everything is better with bacon — especially bourbon. At Boca Bacchanal in April, renowned South Florida chefs pair wonderful wines with tropical culinary delights. Later in April, the Sweet Corn Fiesta celebrates the locally grown crop, which grows in the famous black soil of The Glades Region. This family-friendly fest is complete with a corn-eating contest, corn-shucking competition, and live music.

Fourth of July in Delray Beach involves putting on some sunscreen and heading to the beach for a day of live music, barbecue, and, of course, fireworks. For two weekends in July, once the temps cool in the evening hours, grab a picnic blanket and head to Carlin Park for a free outdoor professional performance at Shakespeare by the Sea. And in August, Celebrate The Palm Beaches’ diverse dining scene during The Palm Beaches Restaurant Month August 1 – 31st.

Fall is simply festival perfection. September brings 30 days of The Palm Beaches’ top restaurants offering prix fixe menus during Flavor Palm Beach — an excellent opportunity to experience the menus that define the region. After tasting the best tropical flavors from Jupiter to Boca Raton, get ready to celebrate German food, beer, and music at Lake Worth’s Oktoberfest.
