Violet Weston is the pill-popping matriarch whose weary, alcoholic husband walks out the door one morning, never to return. His disappearance leads to a tumultuous family reunion full of revelations, resentments, and recriminations. Evening on Antique Row, West Palm Beach

When: April 1. The most fashionable street party in South Florida returns! On April 1st, 2023 from 6 pm to 10 pm Antique Row comes alive with music and special entertainment, gourmet food and cocktails, an antiques appraisal tent, shopping, and much more. South Dixie Highway will be closed to vehicles from Monroe Drive to Southern Boulevard, allowing visitors to explore unique shops that will stay open late to tempt attendees with 17th- to 20th-century antiques, decorative arts, fine art, and design services. This annual event is a signature fundraiser for the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, so your participation helps keep South Florida’s history alive.

Jupiter Beer Wine and Spirits Fest, Jupiter

When: April 1. Enjoy your favorite beer, wine, and spirit samples together with live entertainment, food, and games at the Abacoa Town Center Amphitheater. All attendees must be +21. Buy your admission ticket here and remember to bring your ID.

e4 Life: Green Health & Wellness Expo, West Palm Beach

When: April 1, 10 am – 4 pm. The Cox Science Center & Aquarium will be hosting its e4 Life: Green Health & Wellness Expo in partnership with the West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability. Guests will learn the importance of having The Everglades in our own backyard, nutrition with foods to live by, the power of composting and much more! Panel Discussion: The Arc of Palm Beach County, West Palm Beach

When: April 1, 2023; 10-11 am. Join The Arc of Palm Beach County on Saturday, April 1st, at 10 am at The Square lawn for a discussion about artists’ experiences living with disability. Rena Blades will lead a discussion with Arc of Palm Beach County President and CEO Kimberly McCarten, artist Riva Lehrer and a representative from the Norton Museum. 13th Annual Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival, West Palm Beach

When: April 1-2. The 13th Annual Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival is a free, outdoor event that takes place on April 1 and 2 at The Square, West Palm Beach. For the occasion, The Square will feature local and national artists’ tents filled with all mediums of fine art including life-size sculptures, paintings, jewels, photography, ceramics and more. The art festival is family-friendly and pets on leashes are welcomed. Hours: 10 am – 5 pm.

Coco Market Delray, Delray Beach

When: April 2, 9 am – 2 pm. Coco Connections is a free health and wellness centered market that aims to build community and foster new connections. It’s held on the first Sunday of every month from 9 am – 2 pm. There will be 40-50 local vendors, health and wellness professionals providing various services, and live music. You can also attend a free yoga class at the beginning of the market (9 am) and there will be interactive spaces to experience different workouts and other healing modalities.

Swank Table Family-Style Dinners, Loxahatchee

When: April 2, 23. Join Swank Table Family Dinners at Swank Farm! International Gay Polo Tournament, Wellington

When: April 6-9. Held at the National Polo Center in Wellington, North America’s only high goal polo venue, the International Gay Polo Tournament draws top GPL players and avid spectators from around the globe for a weekend of grand horseplay. Mixing one part serious competition and one part lighthearted party, this event is all about sharing a love for adventure, fun and the challenging sport of polo. Created to generate awareness and to move the needle forward for LGBTQ athletes, the event works to ensure athletes not only have the same opportunities, but also a safe place to learn, grow and excel in their sport.

When: April 7. Food Truck Fridays, Boca Raton

Easter Egg Hunt & Easter Bunny, Palm Beach

When: April 8. Families and children of all ages are invited to the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum for a traditional Easter Egg Hunt on Museum grounds on Saturday, April 8th. Treat-filled eggs will be “hidden” on the Museum’s lawn as well as in the Cocoanut Grove, and areas will be sectioned off by age group so that all children, including toddlers, will have the opportunity to participate safely. When: April 10. Rhythm India is a celebration of dance and music that takes the audience on a journey through Bollywood & Beyond. 36th Annual Engineer It, West Palm Beach

When: April 15, 8 am to 4 pm.
Students between first and twelfth grade can show off their engineering skills at the 36th Annual Engineer It! Competition jointly presented by the Florida Engineering Society & the Cox Science Center and Aquarium. This year’s categories include creating the perfect egg container to protect an egg from a three-story fall, building a buoyant boat and constructing a water bottle rocket to name a few. Students can win $5,000 in cash and prizes awarded to winners in elementary, middle and high school categories. Registration is $5 per participant and will automatically shut down when the Center reaches 400 students, or on April 7 – whichever comes first.
