Celebrate Our “Country”

“Her Soil is Her Fortune!” This is how locals describe the historic city of Belle Glade, with its dark, rich, and incredibly fertile ground. To celebrate the annual end of the harvest season, the entire Glades Region – Belle Glade, Pahokee, and South Bay – come together with friends and family for an all-day affair.

Entertainment and Activities

The Black Gold Jubilee is celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2023! The Jubilee is preceded by multiple events including the Little Miss Black Gold Pageant, Children’s Fishing Contest, and the Harvest Queen Pageant. On the morning of the Jubilee, the festivities begin with a 5K Walk/Run and a 10K Run on Torry Island followed by the Main Street Parade. After the parade, a full day of entertainment begins! Enjoy a variety of food ranging from Greek to Cajun, and from down-home barbecue to soul food.

Kids can have fun participating in free games and rides, while the adults enjoy music and a wide variety of vendors. In the evening, activities move to the amphitheater stage for musical entertainment followed by a spectacular fireworks display over the lake.

This year, the festival will host Easton Corbin, an artist who exudes country. His distinctive baritone has been gracing airwaves for the past decade as his chart topping debut single “A Little More Country Than That” established Corbin as a mainstay on the country charts.
