Fall Events in The Palm Beaches

Fall equals F-U-N here in The Palm Beaches, where happening events take place every weekend of the season. Check out festivals celebrating pirates and mermaids, a marathon in December, and a month-long relaxation celebration during Spa & Wellness Month.

With the first days of fall, South Florida welcomes cooler weather, making it the perfect tropical setting for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Whether you’re visiting or welcoming out-of-town guests (or a local looking for something to do!), we’ve got plenty of activities and events to keep the family entertained. Below is a taste of some of the events you can look forward to this fall in The Palm Beaches.

October

Spa & Wellness Month, October 1-31, 2018

Rejuvenate your mind, body and soul at more than 15 spas and wellness centers. During this month-long relaxation celebration, a portion of each business’ proceeds goes toward the local American Cancer Society chapter in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Some of the offers include treatments at top resort spas such as The Breakers, Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa and The Seagate Hotel & Spa.

Oktoberfest, October 12-21, 2018

Indulge in authentic meals of bratwurst and schnitzel; sip imported and domestic beers, schnapps, and 30 different types of liquor; and listen to entertainment by two original Oktoberfest bands direct from Germany. Family-friendly entertainment with arts and crafts, carnival games, folk dancing, vendor displays and souvenirs are also part of this celebration of German heritage.

Boynton Beach Haunted Pirate Fest and Mermaid Splash, October 27-28, 2018

Every year, Boynton Beach plays host to streets full of pirates and mermaid beauties at this annual celebration. Free festivities include a Hooks & Tails Costume contest, a Jamboree parade, and a mermaid pageant.

November

LagoonFest, November 3, 2018

Listen to live music, watch wildlife presentations, explore the exhibitions, and enjoy children’s activities, lagoon tours, water sports and more. Located along the West Palm Beach waterfront, also known as the Lake Worth Lagoon and Intracoastal Waterway, the festival aims to educate and inspire visitors and locals to learn about the lagoon and explore the historic waterway.

CANVAS Outdoor Museum Show

This multi-day interactive art experience brings visitors to get inspired by new and old, large-scale murals as they come to life throughout downtown West Palm Beach. The city becomes a literal canvas during this art festival, which showcases more than 20 street artists and muralists from around the globe.

The FITTEAM  Palm Beaches Marathon, November 30 – December 2, 2018

Running 26.2 miles through tropical streetscapes in December doesn’t sound half-bad, does it? Then register for this marathon, half-marathon or 5K, all held over one weekend in Jupiter. The road races aren’t the only fun to be had, either – live music, fireworks and parties add to the fun.
