The Matchup

The RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl returns to its traditional spot, the Tuesday evening before Christmas, during the 2022 college football season. Liberty University and University of Toledo are set to meet in the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl on December 20, 2022 at 7:30 pm ET at Florida Atlantic University Stadium. Liberty and Toledo will meet for the fourth time in school history. The teams last met in 2007 when the Rockets hosted the Flames. Toledo leads the series with a 3-0 record. The game will be televised on ESPN and will be carried nationally on ESPN Radio and locally on ESPN 106.3 FM.

The RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl has historically taken place on the Tuesday before Christmas six times out of its eight games and aired on ESPN.    The game features independent Liberty, 8-4 overall, and Mid-American Conference Champion Toledo, 8-5 overall and 5-3 in conference play. This marks the eighth time in nine years that the bowl game hosts a conference champion. Conference champions are 5-2 in the bowl game with the two losses coming in 2014 and 2018 when two conference champions matched up.

 

A Stadium with a View  Kickoff will take place at 30,000-seat FAU Stadium on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
